Been a bit lax on the blogs. Been a tad busy.

Chris’s birthday was cool, he’s fun(ny). Big Bear should be called Little Bear and Snow Summit should be called Asianville. Just kidding. It should be called snow hill. And I thought Alpine Meadows was small.

I overclocked my P4 from 2.6 ghz to 3 ghz. Coincidentally yet unrelatedly Windows said fuck you, and crashed. (I was fixing a hard drive). I didn’t lose anything, but spent the last 3 days reinstalling everything.

I have a new job which is my old job, but with more pay and benefits and a nooky office that is like a nook. Come visit me at the bike shop on campus.

I’m shooting a wedding this weekend in Lakewood…a bit aprehensive b/c I haven’t shot much of anything in weeks. Do keep me in mind if you ever get married. I’ll hook it up.

Amazon.com is the way to sell back text books. I made more money selling 2 books, than I could have made in cash selling back to the IV Bookstore.

Malaysia. A worker holds up a sack that is specially designed to be grabbed by a person from a moving train. I’m not sure about holding it right in front of one’s face.

I interviewed for a job. Well actually my old job. I think I’ll get it. After all, I worked there longer than the previous manager. It’s on campus, and yeah, I’d rather not be on campus, let alone in SB, but hey, it fits in snugly with my one last singular class ever. I get health benefits too…I have a cavity or two that I know I need filled.

Going out of town to celebrate Chris Kim’s bday this weekend. Night snowboarding?

Am image from the hubble. The original was a 385mb tiff file that was 18,000 by 18,000 pixels. Thats like a 324 megapixel image. wow. I did some work on it (slowly) in photoshop and am having it printed and mounted as a 20×20 inch print. Should be spectacular.

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Hopefully I’ll get the wedding gig later this month.

Never on top of stuff

At one point in my life I thought that new years resolutions were like small talk. People would ask, as a formality, what your new years resolutions were. Studies have shown that only 1.2% of people actually carry out their new years resolutions. I’m not going to resolve to do anything. I think “plan and commit to” would be a better method of resolving to complete a goal. I commit to eating more Kettle chips. mmmmmm.

So what’s been up? Tahoe for new years was awesome. I really enjoy tahoe trips. I realized this trip, that the reason I like tahoe so much is the climactic challenge. I like adverse weather. I like having to think about how each tire is gripping (or not gripping) the snow on the road. I like the increased sense of responsibility while driving in addition to the increased amount of attention one must pay.

It took 9 hours to get home from South Shore on Jan 2nd. We went 3.5 miles in 4 hours during one part of the trip. I liked it.
